KEY SETUP NOTE

  • Sebring's relentless bumps punish stiff setups — the Z06's long wheelbase helps stability, but you must prioritize fast-bump compliance (kept soft here) over outright aero platform stiffness, otherwise the car will skate over kerbs at T13/14 and the back straight bumps, costing both mechanical grip and tyre life over a race stint.

TRACK GUIDE

  • T1: brake late but straight-line only — trail braking here unsettles the car on the bumpy entry; prioritize a clean rotation for the exit onto the back section.
  • T7 Hairpin: this is the biggest lap time opportunity — sacrifice outright entry speed for a fully unwound wheel at exit; the long run to T10 rewards traction above all.
  • T13/14: treat as a rhythm section, not outright speed — stay smooth on the wheel since the bumps will upset mid-corner balance if you're aggressive with inputs.
  • T17 Chicane: late apex the final element to maximize exit speed onto the main straight — this is the biggest single traction zone affecting your lap and overtaking opportunities.
  • Tyre management: aggressive rear diff power lock setting combined with late-brake style will spike rear-left temps over a stint — modulate throttle application out of T1 and T7 in the second half of your stint to manage degradation.

THEORETICAL BEST LAP

  • 1:56.800 — theoretical optimal based on current-gen GT3 pace at Sebring in LMU, dry/green conditions, low fuel

REAL WORLD RECORD

  • No official record (GT3-class Corvette Z06 GT3.R lap records at Sebring not formally homologated in this configuration)

SIM RACING RECORD

  • 1:57.200 — Le Mans Ultimate, GT3 class, dry conditions, community hotlap best estimate (as of current build)
