AERO

  • Front Wing: 8 (of 10 clicks), Rear Wing: 9 (of 10 clicks), Ride height locked low front/rear for max ground effect — accept slight plank contact risk over Attack Point kerb for qualifying lap only

KEY SETUP NOTE

  • Okayama's long Attack Point righthander (Turn 1) and the fast Esses reward high rear wing for rotation confidence, but the front straight into Turn 1 and the back straight demand you don't over-wing — run rear slightly higher than a pure balanced setup to maximize one-lap rotation through Turns 3-6, accepting a straight-line speed trade you can absorb since tyre wear/drag heat is irrelevant for a single lap.

TRACK GUIDE

  • Turn 1 (Attack Point): Late brake deep on entry, trail brake to rotate the car early — this corner is taken almost flat in quali trim with the high wing setup, commit fully.
  • Esses (Turns 3-6): Minimum steering input, let the aero platform do the work — smooth, precise inputs carry more speed than aggressive late apex here; a twitchy entry costs multiple corners of rhythm.
  • Turn 9 (Hairpin): This is the biggest overtaking/lap time zone — brake as late as physically possible in a straight line, rotate hard on entry using trail brake and the diff coast setting, get back to power early for the run to the final corners.
  • Final corner onto front straight: Traction is king — unwind steering early, prioritize a clean exit over apex speed since it feeds the longest flat-out section of the lap.
  • Kerb usage: Okayama's kerbs at Turn 1 exit and the Esses can be used aggressively with this stiff setup for rotation, but avoid unsettling the rear on exit kerbs — a slide here costs
