These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and the operator of TheTenths ("TheTenths", "we", "us") for the use of the website at thetenths.com, the TheTenths telemetry client and every service offered through them (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating one you confirm that the information you give us is accurate, that you will keep it up to date, and that you will keep your password and your telemetry pairing token to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.
TheTenths offers a sim racing community: lap leaderboards, lap telemetry and analysis, an AI setup advisor, AI voice coaching, events and related features. Most of it is free. We may add, change or remove features at any time, and the Service is provided as it is and as available — we do not promise that it will always be online, error-free or that any feature will remain available.
Sharing telemetry is voluntary. The telemetry client reads data from the racing simulator running on your computer — lap times, the car's position, speed, inputs, tyre, fuel and car settings and similar — and sends it to us only after you have installed it and paired it with your account yourself. You can use the rest of the website without it, stop it, unpair it or uninstall it at any time, and delete your laps or your whole account whenever you wish.
Your laps and telemetry remain yours. By sending them you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and show them for running the Service: on leaderboards and event results, as reference laps other drivers compare against, in community statistics, and as input to the AI advice and coaching we produce for you and for others. The licence ends when you delete the lap or your account, except for statistics that no longer identify you (for example a lap count or an average lap time).
You may only send laps you drove yourself, unaltered. Don't send laps that were manipulated, driven by someone else or produced by a tool other than the simulator.
You agree not to:
We may remove content, invalidate laps, and suspend or delete accounts that break these Terms.
Setup advice, coaching notes and voice coaching are generated automatically, partly by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude). They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuited to you. Use them at your own judgement. They are meant for racing simulators only — never apply them to a real vehicle.
Some features use credits granted to your account. Credits are a free usage allowance: they have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or refunded, and we may change how many are granted and what they are spent on.
The Service, its design, text, software and the content we generate belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service and to install and run the telemetry client for your own, non-commercial sim racing. Don't copy, modify, decompile or redistribute the client except where the law allows it. The client includes third-party components under their own licences, listed under "Licences" in the app.
Simulator, car, track and manufacturer names are the trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe them. TheTenths is not affiliated with or endorsed by any simulator publisher, championship or manufacturer.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time on your profile; your personal data is then deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. An account that has not been used for 10 years — no sign-in and no telemetry upload — is deleted together with its data; if it has an email address we will warn you 30 days before. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, or if we stop offering the Service, in which case we will tell you where we reasonably can.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, lost leaderboard places or lost results, or for any loss arising from the Service being unavailable, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months (for the free Service, nothing). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — such as for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence — or takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
We may change these Terms at any time, at our own discretion. The new version applies from the moment it is posted on this page, and the date at the top says when it last changed; using the Service after that means you accept it. Only for a material change — one that takes away a right you have or adds a significant obligation — will we also tell signed-in users on the site or by email. If you do not accept the new Terms, stop using the Service and delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator of TheTenths is established, without taking away the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
