KEY SETUP NOTE

• The Dallara's lightweight chassis means tyre deg is driven more by sliding heat than pure load — running slightly higher pressures and a touch more rear ARB than a qualifying setup keeps the rear planted lap after lap under aggressive late-braking without tipping into snap oversteer exiting the Döttinger Höhe or Dunlop-Kehre.

TRACK GUIDE

• Brake late and hard into T1 (Yokohama-S) but get the rotation done early — the car's low inertia rewards trail-braking, but overdriving entry here costs rear tyre life all lap.
• Through the Schumacher-S (T3), prioritize a stable platform over outright speed; small ARB and damper settings above keep the front planted through direction changes without unsettling the rear.
• Nail traction at Dunlop-Kehre and Ford-Kurve — these are the biggest lap time opportunities; get on power progressively using the 0.6 power lock to avoid wheelspin degrading rear tyres mid-stint.
• Mercedes-Kurve rewards committing to a wide, sweeping line — carry speed rather than rotate aggressively, as the long duration load here builds heat fast on worn tyres.
• Manage the Veedol chicane conservatively in traffic-heavy race conditions; losing the splitter or wing mirror here is costlier over 24h than half a tenth gained.
