KEY SETUP NOTE

• The Jukskei Sweep and Crocodile Kink both load the rear tyres at very high speed with minimal margin — slightly higher rear wing and stiffer rear ARB than a “pure speed” setup is essential, because any snap here costs the entire lap, whereas straight-line losses on the pit straight are comparatively small.

TRACK GUIDE

• T1 Sausage Kink: brake hard from top speed but release pressure progressively through the kink — trail off rather than trail-brake fully, as the kerb unsettles the rear under full lock.
• Jukskei Sweep (T7): commit flat or near-flat — lift only fractionally if the car feels loose; this corner rewards a stable, confident rear end over outright steering input.
• Crocodile Kink: treat as flat-out — any lift unsettles the weight transfer before the following braking zone; get the car settled on exit of the prior corner to carry maximum minimum-speed.
• Sunset/Rietvlei hairpin (T11): sacrifice entry speed for a clean, early throttle application — this is the primary traction zone feeding the long back straight, biggest lap time gain of the circuit.
• Barbecue/Cheetah chicane (T14): prioritize stability over the kerbs — use smooth, progressive braking given elevation change, as locking here costs significant time into the final sector.
