AERO

KEY SETUP NOTE

• Brands Hatch Indy punishes any rear instability under brakes (Paddock Hill, Graham Hill) and any traction deficit (Druids exit onto Cooper Straight) in the same lap — run slightly more rear wing and softer coast diff than usual R8 baseline to tame mid-corner snap, and accept a touch of straight-line drag because the straights here are too short to matter versus corner stability.

TRACK GUIDE

• Paddock Hill Bend: brake late and hard on the downhill approach, trail-brake to rotate — commit early, this corner sets up the whole lap.
• Druids: sacrifice outright entry speed for a clean, straight exit — traction out of Druids directly dictates Cooper Straight speed and the following Surtees/Pilgrims sequence.
• Graham Hill Bend: trail-brake deep into the downhill left, let the rear rotate but stay smooth on throttle application — early throttle here kills exit onto the short straight.
• McLaren Bend (T7): carry max minimum speed, it's about lateral commitment not braking — trust the aero and don't lift.
• Clearways/Clark Curve: exit speed is everything onto the front straight — get the car rotated early and be full throttle before the apex to maximize start/finish speed.
